Residencies
Our residencies give people the time, space, and support to focus on meaningful work, while being part of a welcoming environment in the heart of Dublin.
At Tara, we believe the best ideas grow in community.
We’re proud to back those who are making Ireland a more creative, sustainable, equitable, and inclusive place to live. Each residency offers free workspace, access to our community, and the chance to connect, collaborate, and grow.

“Having access to this space as I found my feet as a freelancer for the first time in my career was invaluable. Being able to work alongside lovely people, meet new connections and be part of such a supportive community is something I’m hugely grateful for.”
Annie Walsh, Film editor
“The support from The Tara Building has been incredible. Alex and Emma made everything easy, excitable and approachable… The quiet space in the office completely contrasted the laughter of the kitchen or buzz of the rooftop. There is a great calmness in Tara that amplifies a creative energy all around.”
Gemma Kane, Writer & Actress
“From the moment that I received confirmation that I had won the Creative Arts Residency, I knew that it would be a very fruitful experience. I was fully supported by the staff at the Tara Building and was made to feel right at home by the Tara Community. They were always open to my ideas and available at all times should I have needed them. The space was perfect – large, bright, safe and ideally located with the best view of the Liffey, the Custom House and Liberty Hall! It was the perfect recipe to get creative. My only regret was that I couldn’t stay forever!”
