I’m a queer Irish photographer whose work began with intimate portraits of Dublin’s LGBTQ+ community and has expanded to a wider exploration of marginalised stories in Ireland and beyond. Working primarily with analogue photography, my practice investigates LGBTQ+ identity, belonging and resilience as the medium’s tactility and imperfections echo the layered realities of LGBT+ life.
My early projects – “Queer Hearts of Dublin”(2020), “No Queer Apologies” (2021) and “Interpersonally Queer”(2022–) – challenge traditional ideas of Irish femininity, masculinity and sexuality. Each invites spectators to connect with my subjects as both individuals and as a community. The success of these works led me to focus on documenting other LGBTQ+ and FLINTA artists, further grounding my practice in trust, tenderness and amplification of underrepresented voices.
My work-in-progress project, Something In The Air (2025-), follows storm chaser, climate activist and transgender person Raychel Sanner, whose story sits at the intersection of science, identity and resistance. The project featured in Irish Design Week, Galways Arts Centre and Photo Museum’s “Talents 2025” exhibition, marking my first national institutional exhibition.
